Kozhevnikov V. V. Foreign policy of Japan in the time of Yukio Hatoyama's government: Are the changes possible?
Article is devoted to the analysis of a foreign policy of Japan after coming to power of Democratic party of Japan led by Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama. The general tendencies which were appeared in the frst months of coming into power of the cabinet are considered, the main attention is devoted to new tendencies in development of the Japanese-American and Japanese-Russian relations. Attempts of conservative political scientists to affect formation by the new government of a policy concerning Russia are shown.

Japan’s trap is scrutinized as a liquidity trap, which market economy is not able to correct without government interference. This is such condition of economy in which conventional instruments of economic recovery – interest rate cut and government spending increase – don’t have function. At the same time in the judgment of the author long-run recession of Japanese economy is not unique to the Japanese phenomena. It has universal features. Some of them are inherent for Russia. But importance of Japan’s trap both as conceptual and practical matter is realized by only few economists. In this connection possible ways out of trap are analyzed. The proposition of American economist Krugman for way of this situation was especially outlined.

The Japanese government implemented policy of «protection and patronage» to Korean diaspora in Мanchuria from 1910 to 1931. The purpose of that policy was to manipulate Koreans for an accomplishment of the Japanese colonial expansion in Northeast China.

The paper shows the highlights of Japanese central government activities for Ryukyu Kingdome, and later Ryukyu Clan reorganization into the Okinawa prefecture in 70-s of XIX century. By stage-by-stage methods Japan managed to annex Central and Southern parts of Ryukyu Islands to its territory by least costs. The Ryukyuan government had no military and economical powers to oppose to Japan, and it became a juridical liquidation of a small island kingdom.

In the last period of the life (1945 – 1948) Dazai Osamu (1909 – 1948) writes the novels «The Setting Sun» («Shayo») and «No Longer Human» («Ningen sikkaku»), which are known as masterpieces among his books. These stories are flled with refections, regrets and confessions. Motives of death, despair, degradation characterize Dazai’s post-war works. He is known as a writer of «Heo-Entertaining group» («Singesakuha») at this time.

The development of Japanese costume was infuenced by nature, social, religious and other causes. Complete form of national dress – kimono–appeared only in the very beginning of 20th century. Principles of Japanese esthetics – season design and colors, meaning and symbolism of ornaments and colors – were based on Shinto and Buddhism. This esthetic culture was formed frst by aristocracy but after that was altered and changed by samurai warriors and town’s people, and in this form remains until nowadays.

The article is proposing to take a look at the North-Korean problem from the combined methodological viewpoint of myths’ theory and double-standard politics as a question of IR theory. Original defnition of double-standard politics as technology of power spreading and structural analysis of ancient-Greek myth about Prometheus are allowing to open some new aspects of North-Korean nuclear situation and even to preview the most realistic scheme of this process’s development.
